The Government of Assam is actively working to fill vacancies in the Assam Police, DGCD, APRO, and other departments. In this regard, the recruitment team has identified a total of 5,563 posts to fill in the current phase. As part of this initiative, they have, therefore, invited eligible male candidates to apply for 654 posts of Assam Police Driver Constable. Furthermore, these positions come with a pay scale of Rs. 14,000-60,500 (Pay Band No. 2) and a grade pay of Rs. 5,600. Assam Police Driver Constable: Requirements
To be eligible for recruitment as an Assam Police Driver Constable, candidates must not only meet the required educational qualifications but also fulfill the nationality criteria, age limit, medical standards, and physical standards. Furthermore, it is essential that applicants carefully review each of these requirements to ensure compliance, as they are crucial for the selection process. Medical standards:
Candidates should not show knock knees, flat feet, or squint eyes; furthermore, they must not be color blind. Additionally, we will treat varicose veins as a temporary disqualification. Moreover, they must be in good mental and bodily health. They must be free from any physical deformities and free from diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, hernia, piles, respiratory diseases, or any other ailment that is likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties. The distant vision should be 6/6 for at least one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal.
Assam Police Driver Constable Recruitment: Application Procedure
HOW TO APPLY
Submit your applications online through the SLPRB website slprbassam.in. We will not entertain any other forms of application. Candidates must follow the following steps during the submission of the online form Application:
- Register in the Portal using a valid mobile number.
(Note: We advise candidates to keep their mobile numbers unchanged until the recruitment process is over.)
- After successful registration, candidates will get a Recruitment ID. Candidates who generate multiple recruitment IDs will have their applications canceled.
- Candidates must upload scanned copies of the following documents:
a) Passport Size Photograph:
Candidates should upload a good-quality photograph. Poor quality of the photograph submitted will lead to rejection of their Applications. The uploaded photograph will print on the admit card.
i) You must take the photograph in colour and in a professional studio. Photographs taken using a mobile phone and other self-composed portraits are not acceptable.
ii) Take the photograph against a white background.
iii) The photographer must have taken the photograph after 1st January 2023.
iv) The face should occupy about 50% of the area in the photograph, and be a full face. View looking directly into the camera.
v) Make sure that hair, clothes, or shadows do not cover the main features of the face. Forehead, both eyes, nose, cheeks, lips, and chin should be clearly visible.
vi) If the Candidate normally wears spectacles, glare on glasses is not acceptable in the photo. Glare can be avoided with a slight downward tilt of the glasses for the photo shoot.
vii) The Candidate must not wear spectacles with dark or tinted glasses; only clear glasses are permitted.
viii) The Candidate should collect the image in a JPEG format and also in a standard format 4.5cm x 3.5cm (45mm x 35mm) print. Pixel resolution for JPEG is to be between a maximum of 640 x 480 (0.3 megapixel) and a minimum of 320 x 240. The maximum file size is 450 kb (kilobytes). The Candidates are to brief the studio to provide a picture as per the above specification.
b) Signature:-
i) Please put your signature with black or dark blue ink on white paper.
ii) Get the signature digitally photographed/image scanned by a professional photographer studio, and get the image cropped by the studio itself.
iii) Only JPEG image formats will be accepted.
iv) The maximum pixel resolution for the image is 800 x 300.
v) The minimum pixel resolution for the image is 400 x 150.
vi) Dimension of signature image should be 3.5cm (width) x 2.5cm (height).
vii) The maximum file size is 100 kb.
viii) A mobile phone photograph of a signature is not acceptable and can result in the disqualification of the application.
c) Documents:-
i) Certificate for proof of age. (Admit Card /Certificate of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination)
ii) Pass Certificate of HSLC or equivalent examination.
iii) Mark Sheet of HSLC or equivalent examination.
iv) Driving license for LMV or MMV, or HMV..
v) Employment Exchange Registration Card.
vi) Certificate of Caste from the Competent Authority in Assam. NO CASTE CERTIFICATES ISSUED BY OTHER STATES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
vii) NCC certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if any (for which the candidate would be claiming weightage marks.
The candidate will then click on the ‘Complete’ button to indicate that they agree to all the entries made in the form. The candidate can then download the registration/application slip with ID No.
