Assam Police Constable AB/UB Recruitment: Selection Process
Candidates with correct applications will undergo the Physical Standards Tests (PST) and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET). Suppose any candidate is found to have a physical deformity during these tests, as determined by the Medical Officer in the Selection Committee. In that case, they will be disqualified from participating in the remaining tests.
Preliminary Documents Verification
Before taking part in the PST and PET, candidates must go through a document verification process. They need to bring both their original documents and self-attested photocopies. If any candidate is found ineligible during this stage, they will be given a rejection slip mentioning the reason.
Candidates should make sure that all the information they provide is correct. If any false information or fake documents are found at any stage, it will lead to disqualification and may even result in legal action.
Original documents might also be checked again later in the recruitment process. To avoid any chances of tampering, a Chairman or Member of the Selection Committee will sign on the submitted photocopies during PST and PET, especially on important papers like caste certificates or those that include marks.
Assam Police Constable AB/UB Recruitment: Physical Standard Test Preliminary Medical Checkup
Once the documents are verified, candidates will move on to the Physical Standard Test (PST). This test doesn’t carry any marks. During PST, officials will measure the candidate’s height, weight, and chest (for male candidates) using modern equipment.
A basic medical check-up will also be done by a Medical Officer. This includes checking for issues like knock knees, flat feet, varicose veins, vision problems, colour blindness, physical deformities, and other similar conditions.
Candidates who clear the PST will then be allowed to take part in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
