IB Junior Intelligence Officer 2025

The Intelligence Bureau has released the IB Junior Intelligence Officer syllabus for 2025 on its official website. In this article, we will discuss the syllabus of the IB Junior Intelligence Officer 2025. Applicants can also review the IB JIO exam pattern for 2025 to understand the exam’s structure. 

  • Candidates who have successfully registered must appear for the Tier 1 exam as part of the recruitment process.  
  • After the Tier 1 exam, candidates will undergo a skill test.  
  • The IB Junior Intelligence Officer recruitment exam for 2025 will be conducted online and will be computer-based only.  
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interview after the initial exams.  
  • The exam consists of three phases: Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III.  
  • The syllabus for the IB Junior Intelligence Officer exam is applicable only to Tier I, as Tier II consists of a skill test followed by an interview or personality test.  
  • The exam pattern for Tier I includes 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs).  
  • Out of the 100 questions in Tier I, 25 will be from General Mental Ability, while the remaining 75 will pertain to subject combinations such as Electronics or Computer Engineering.  
  • There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer in the Tier I exam.

IB Junior Intelligence Officer Exam Pattern 2025

  • For incorrect answers, 1/4th marks will be deducted as negative marking
  • The normalisation process will be followed in Tier I. This is to shortlist candidates for the Skill Test and Interview rounds. Moreover, the number of candidates shortlisted will be 5 times the number of vacancies.
  • The IB Junior Intelligence Officer Tier-II is the Skill Test round. This round will be held practically. It will consist of technical expertise related to the job profile.
