SSC MTS 2025: Havaldar Selection Process

The recruitment process for SSC Multi-Tasking Staff involves, in fact, three distinct stages that determine the eligibility of candidates for selection. To elaborate, every candidate must clear each stage while also achieving scores above the official cut-off thresholds. Furthermore, the assessment process consists of these three separate stages that candidates must complete in order to qualify successfully. Thus, it is essential for candidates to prepare thoroughly to meet the requirements of each phase of the process.

  • Stage 1: Paper 1 (Objective)
  • Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar)

SSC MTS 2025: Exam Pattern

The SSC MTS 2025 examination will be conducted through two separate assessment stages: Paper-1 and PET/PST (for Havaldar only). Firstly, Paper 1 consists of an online assessment that, in turn, uses objective multiple-choice questions to evaluate candidates. Consequently, this structure allows for a comprehensive assessment of the candidates’ abilities. Moreover, the separation of these stages ensures that each component is focused and tailored to gauge the necessary skills effectively.

1. SSC MTS 2025 Havaldar Paper-1 Exam Pattern

The officials released the modified SSC MTS Paper 1 Exam Pattern during the previous year. The Paper 1 pattern is the same for both posts. There will be a Computer-Based Examination, divided into two sessions. Candidates must complete both Session I and Session II because these sessions are compulsory for all examinees. The assessment in Session 2 deducts one mark for every incorrect answer, whereas Session 1 does not apply a penalty for incorrect responses.

The following table displays how marks are allocated to each subject.

Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving2060
Total40120
Session 2

The SSC MTS 2025 written exam consists of two separate sections. First and foremost, the first section does not include any negative marking; therefore, candidates can answer as many questions as they wish without the fear of losing points. In contrast, the second section imposes a penalty of one mark for every incorrect answer, which encourages candidates to think carefully before responding. As a result, it’s essential for test-takers to approach each section with a different strategy.
